Plain Named Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year

SEATTLE –Gabbie Plain was named as the first Husky in program history to earn Pac-12 Softball Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors.
Plain is double majoring in psychology and anthropology with double minors in diversity and education, learning & society while holding a 3.72 GPA. The fifth year senior has earned Pac-12 academic honors the last four seasons and has been named an NFCA Scholar Athlete twice.
The senior was named All-Pac-12 First Team for the fourth time in her career last week. Earlier this year, Plain became the fourth Husky in program history to notch 100 career wins and the second Husky with 1,000 career strikeouts. Over her five season, Plain posts a 1.53 career ERA with 106 wins in 815 innings pitched.
The conference honor comes after Plain was named to the CoSIDA All-District Team last weekend.
