
Koren Johnson joins the Huskies in the Class of 2022

SEATTLE – Koren Johnson, a 6-2 point guard from Seattle, has signed a national letter of intent and will be joining the University of Washington men's basketball team. Johnson is ranked as the No. 25 point guard in the nation and the No. 1 recruit in Washington according to ESPN's recruiting database.
"Koren is an exciting player with great ball-handling skills and a knack for scoring. He has a high-level understanding of the game and we can't wait for him to get on campus. He's another great Garfield Bulldog, and a Husky through and through." Head Coach Mike Hopkins.
Johnson competed at Garfield High School and helped lead the team to the 2020 Class 3A State Championship under Husky great Brandon Roy. In the shortened 2021 season, Johnson averaged 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists per game. On the EYBL, Johnson plays for the Seattle Rotary and averaged 13.6 points and 4.6 assists per game on 38.8% 3-pt shooting.
