Vaccine Verification/Negative COVID Test Process
September 28, 2021 | General
SEATTLE – As previously announced, University of Washington Athletics has implemented a vaccine verification system for all Husky ticketed events. All spectators 12 and older will need to provide proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event. Fans under the age of 12 are exempt from providing proof of vaccination or a negative test. The below FAQ details the verification process. Additionally, in accordance with state policy, all spectators are required to wear a mask, indoors and outdoors, regardless of vaccination status at all Husky athletics events.
Spectators attending all ticketed sports inside Alaska Airlines Arena and at Husky Soccer Stadium, Husky Ballpark and Husky Softball Stadium will need to provide proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID test at any of the venue entrances. All venue entrances open one hour prior to the event's start time. Spectators who may have received a season-long wristband at a Husky football game can use that same wristband for entrance to soccer, volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, softball and baseball events.
What are the approved documents to prove vaccination status?
The following documents are acceptable for proving vaccination status:
What kind of test do fans need to provide to prove they have tested negative for COVID-19?
Fans will need to provide a copy of a COVID negative test that is FDA-approved and within 72 hours of the event. Currently at-home tests will not be accepted as they do not show a date on the test results.
If a fan has already tested positive for COVID do they need to provide vaccine verification or a negative COVID-19 test?
Yes, fans that have already had COVID-19 still need to provide either their proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours. King County Public Health guidance states that documentation of a previous COVID-19 positive illness cannot be accepted in lieu of proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.
What should fans do that have a medical or religious exemption?
Fans with a medical or religious exemption will need to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the game.
What is the mask policy?
Masks are still required at all times, indoor and outdoor, at Husky Stadium except when actively eating or drinking.
