Five Huskies Earn IRCA All-America

Five members of Washington's national champion men's rowing team have been named to the Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association's All-America team.
George Esau (Long Lake, Minn.), Samuel Halbert (Redmond, Wash.) and Gert-Jan van Doorn (Leiden, Netherlands) were named to the IRCA All-America first team, while Peter Lancashire (Victoria, B.C.) and Pieter Quinton (Portland, Ore.) earned a place on the second team.
All five men were part of Washington's undefeated varsity eight crew throughtout the 2021 season, which culminated with a sweep of all four heavyweight grand finals at the IRA National Championship Regatta.
