Keith Taylor Drafted By Panthers
May 01, 2021 | Football
Washington cornerback Keith Taylor became the fourth former Husky to hear his named called at the 2021 NFL Draft Saturday as the Carolina Panthers selected him in the fifth round.
He joins three other Huskies who were selected earlier: outside linebacker Joe Tryon (Tampa Bay, round 1), defensive tackle Levi Onwuzurike (Detroit, round 2) and cornerback Elijah Molden (Tennessee, round 3).
Taylor, from Long Beach, Calif., joins a long list of UW defensive backs selected by NFL programs in the last eight years. Taylor played in all but one game during his four seasons at Washington. He started all four games in 2020, and all 13 in 2019.
Carolina selected him with the 22nd pick in the fifth round, the 166th overall.
