
Thompson, Cunningham Earn Event Titles Vs. UCLA

SEATTLEΒ βΒ The Washington GymDawgs finished week four of the season with a score of 193.500 against the #10 UCLA Bruins. Amara Cunningham and Geneva Thompson led the way for the GymDawgs, winning event titles for the second week in a row. That duo has combined for five event titles in the last two meets.
Cunningham entered the 2021 season with one floor title in her career. In the last two weeks, she has won back-to-back floor titles after putting up a score of 9.925 in Washington's final routine against UCLA.
Thompson earned the event title on vault with a score of 9.875. This was the sixth vault title of her career and first of the 2021 season. On floor, Thompson had a 9.900, the second highest score on that event at the meet,Β behind only Cunningham.
Talia Brovedani and Katie McNamara had great nights on beam. Brovedani set a career high with a 9.850, while McNamara earned a 9.800.

The GymDawgs head to Tucson, AZ to take on the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday, February 20th.
