SEATTLE- The University of Washington Gymnastics team has scheduled their Purple and Gold Exhibition combined with 'Meet the GymDawgs' for Tuesday, December 7, at 6:00 pm PST in Alaska Airlines Arena. The event is free to the public.
The meet will include gymnast introductions along with hearing from Head Coach, Jen Llewellyn. The GymDawgs will be split into two teams and compete against each other in all four events: bars, beam, floor exercise, and vault.
The UW Gymnastics squad will also talk through each of the four events for the crowd and give tutorials along the way.
"We are eager to welcome our fans back to Alaska Airlines Arena after a long-anticipated wait," Llewellyn said. "This year, we will host our Purple and Gold Exhibition in conjunction with our Meet the GymDawgs. This event is an opportunity for fans to get a first look at our 2022 Washington Women's Gymnastics Team and a chance to get to know more about the people behind the gymnast."
The event will serve to preview the season to come, allowing fans to engage and support the GymDawgs as they continue to work toward their first meet of the season.
Along with the gymnastics showcase taking place, the event will include concourse activities, the Kids Corner, and other marketing engagements for the entire family.
"This exhibition is a crucial part of our preparation for the upcoming season," Llewellyn said. "Everyone's support in the arena will help get our season off to the right start in 2022."
