Ten GymDawgs Earn Academic Honor Roll

SAN FRANCISCO - The Pac-12 Conference announced its Academic Honor Roll for winter sports. The GymDawgs put ten athletes on that list, setting a new program record. Brenna Brooks, Talia Brovedani, Madison Copiak, Amara Cunningham, Kristyn Hoffa, Michaela Nelson, Evanni Roberson, Meaghan Ruttan, Hannah Vandenkolk, and Maya Washington all earned Academic Honor Roll honors.
Only two other schools in the Pac-12 had ten or more athletes earn Academic Honor Roll. Washington has had at least seven gymnasts earn academic honors in each of the last three years and at least five gymnasts earn academic honors for six straight seasons.
For Roberson, Nelson, Hoffa, and Maya Washington, this was the third All-Academic or Academic Honor Roll selection. All four of those gymnasts earned academic honors from the Pac-12 every year they were eligible to do so in their career, as freshmen are not eligible for such honors.
This is the second academic award in the last two years for Copiak, who earned All-Academic honors last year before the Pac-12 switched to the Academic Honor Roll award.
Brooks, Cunningham, Ruttan, and Vandenkolk all earned this academic honor in their first year eligible for such an award from the Pac-12.
