Huskies To Host Team USA
January 20, 2020 | Softball
SEATTLE - The Washington Huskies have announced that they will host the USA National Team on Thursday, March 12 at 6:00 PM. This will be the first time that Team USA has ever played at Husky Softball Stadium and will be a part of Team USA's run-up to the Olympics this summer in Tokyo.
"We are excited for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete with the best softball players in the world," said head coach Heather Tarr. "Not only will this help the Huskies achieve our goals, but we hope it can help Team USA prepare for the Tokyo Olympics."
The March 12 game will be Washington's home opener for the 2020 season, giving Husky fans their first chance at seeing Washington in action. It will also be the one and only chance to see Team USA live in person in Seattle before the Olympics. Washington alum Ali Aguilar will be a part of Team USA, while Washington's head coach Heather Tarr will join the Team USA coaching staff at the Olympics after the 2020 season at Washington concludes.
Tickets to the March 12 game are not included in season tickets. Any season ticket holders will have a chance to buy their tickets before sales go public. Pre-sale tickets for season ticket holders go on sale January 28, while tickets go live to all fans on February 4. Season ticket holders of non-softball sports will also have a chance to purchase tickets early, with tickets available to those fans on January 30.
There are no reduced-rate tickets for seniors or youth. Husky Gold Cards will not provide admission to this event. Students also will not be given free admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Husky Ticket Office or online.
