Six Huskies Earn Medals At Pan American Games

LIMA, Peru - Six Huskies earned medals at the recent Pan American Games for softball. Ali Aguilar and assistant coach Lance Glasoe earned gold with Team USA, Danielle Lawrie, Victoria Hayward, and Jenn Salling all earned silver with Team Canada, and Taran Alvelo earned a bronze medal with Team Puerto Rico.
Washington was the only school in the country to have representation on every team earning a medal for softball. Every Husky taking part in the Pan Am Games medaled.
For both Canada and Puerto Rico, next up is the Americas Olympic Qualifiers, set for August 25-September 1 in Surrey, British Columbia. Team USA has already qualified for the Olympics, winning the WBSC World Cup.
Washington will try to continue its run of international success as four Huskies are competing with Team USA at the WBSC U-19 World Cup. Heather Tarr, the coach of the U.S. U-19 National Team, will lead Jadelyn Allchin, Kelley Lynch, Madison Huskey, and the rest of Team USA at that tournament, taking place now and running until August 17.
