Eight Huskies Pick Up Preseason All-Pac-12 Honors
July 24, 2019 | Football
The Washington football team has been predicted by the media to finish second in the Pac-12 North in 2019, while eight Husky players were named to the conference's first-ever preseason All-Pac-12 team, also selected by the press.
The Huskies earned 17 out of 35 first-place votes to win the Northern Division, the same as Oregon, but finished just one point behind the Ducks (190 to 189) in the preseason poll. The Huskies have won, or shared, the Pac-12 North crown three years in a row, and won the Pac-12 Championship Game in 2016 and 2018. Utah was tabbed by the press as the top pick to win both the Southern Division and the Pac-12 title game, earning 12 votes for the overall crown (Oregon got 11 and UW received 9).
Additionally, eight Husky players earned some level of All-Pac-12 honors in the preseason media selections. Offensive linemen Trey Adams and Nick Harris, along with defensive back Myles Bryant, were named to the first team, while tight end Hunter Bryant picked up second-team accolades. Additionally, WR Aaron Fuller, offensive guard Jaxson Kirkland, defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike and all-purpose player Elijah Molden earned honorable mention.
Today is Pac-12 Media Day in Los Angeles, where Myles Bryant and Harris are representing the Huskies along with head coach Chris Petersen.
