Woolsey One Stroke Off Lead at Southern Amateur Championship

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – University of Washington sophomore Noah Woolsey continued his solid play at the 113th Southern Amateur Championship on Friday, recording an 8-under 205 which puts him one stroke out of first place heading into the final round at Chenal Country Club in Arkansas.
Woolsey opened the event with a 4-under 67 on the par-71 course. He followed that with a 1-under 70 before shooting a 3-under 68 in round three. His 8-under 205 is just one stroke behind John Keefer and Walker Lee who are tied for the lead at 9-under 204.
The rising junior has recorded 15 birdies over three rounds with just six blemishes. The final round starts at 7:10 a.m. PT at the Chenal Country Club.
