June 11, 2019 | Softball
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - For the second time in the last three years, the Washington Huskies earned the NFCA Pacific Region Coaching Staff of the Year. Heather Tarr, J.T. D'Amico, Lance Glasoe, and Whitney Jones were honored as one of 11 regional staffs to win the award, spread across the country.
The Huskies went to their third consecutive World Series this year, just the second time in school history that the Huskies have made three or more WCWS trips in a row. Washington finished third in the country, making it three top-three finishes in the last three years as well, including 2018's national runner-up finish.
Washington went 52-9, the second time in Tarr's tenure that the team has lost single-digit games in a season. The Huskies also won 20 conference games for the second time ever, winning the Pac-12 championship. Four Huskies earned All-American honors as well.
