TODAY'S EVENTS
Track & Field at NCAA West Prelims (Sacramento, Calif.) -- 12 p.m.
Baseball vs. California (Husky Ballpark) -- 6 p.m.
Softball vs. Kentucky (NCAA Super Regionals, Husky Softball Stadium) -- 6 p.m.

A terrific first day for the Husky track and field squad at NCAA West Preliminaries saw three Huskies push on to the NCAA Outdoor Championships with 10 more Dawgs advancing from the first round to the quarterfinals on Friday or Saturday.
Washington baseball put up five runs in the third inning, but didn't come out with the win Thursday night. Cal started and finished strong, putting up five runs in both the first and ninth innings, to take the series-opening win 18-8 at Husky Ballpark.
Nine Husky softball student-athletes earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors, including two First Team awards and a Second Team Award. Kaija Gibson and Gabbie Plain were named to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team, while Noelle Hee earned All-Academic Second Team. Six Huskies earned Honorable Mention: Taryn Atlee, Sis Bates, Morganne Flores, Emma Helm, Nawai Kaupe, and Amirah Milloy.
Four baseball student-athletes and one student manager will be recognized during senior ceremonies prior to Saturday's game against Cal at Husky Ballpark. Outfielders Blake Burton and Mason Cerrillo, pitcher Adam Davenport, first baseman Joe Wainhouse and student manager Jacob Hatloe will all be honored at approximately 11:40 a.m. prior to Saturday's noon first pitch.
Incoming men's basketball freshman Isaiah Stewart has been selected to the 2019 USA Basketball Men's U19 World Cup Team training camp, USA Basketball announced Thursday. He will join head coach Mike Hopkins at the camp, as coach Hop was named an assistant coach for the team earlier this month.
