CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Washington GymDawgs fought hard but couldn't quite break into the top two of the Corvallis Regional, ending their season with a 195.900. Four GymDawgs earned scores of 9.850 on floor.
Washington narrowly missed advancing to the Regional Finals. The GymDawgs had made two consecutive NCAA Nationals trips and finish this season ranked in the nation's top 20 once again.
"Each year is so different with its own successes and challenges. Though we didn't end up where we wanted to, I coached an amazing group of young women this season," said
Elise Ray-Statz. "They rose to every challenge, upheld a culture I'm proud of, and aimed to get better every day. We will celebrate the many victories this season, the many career highs, and the upgraded routines we competed. After some much deserved rest for our women, we will get back to work and keep bettering our program."

Geneva Thompson had two of those, on vault and floor.
