PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico – Early offense clinched a 4-1 win for the #2 Washington Huskies over the Duke Blue Devils Saturday night. Washington scored twice in both the first and second inning, erasing an early deficit.

Taran Alvelo started the game, allowing one earned run, her first of the season, in three innings of work before ceding the circle to Pat Moore. Moore would retire six of the first seven batters she faced and allow only one hit in her four innings of relief, picking up the win.

Noelle Hee and Sis Bates each had multi-hit games, with Hee going a perfect 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Morganne Flores reached an RBI, her third in three games this year, while Kaija Gibson picked up two RBI on her first-inning single.

		SCORING
First Inning: Duke took the lead with a double to the left-center wall, scoring the leadoff runner, who had moved into scoring position on a wild pitch. First Inning: With the bases loaded, Gibson ripped a line drive off the glove of the pitcher, who recovered and fired to first late. The first baseman and Gibson collided, with the ball rolling away and allowing a second run to come across, making it 2-1. Second Inning: Flores and Hee each had RBI singles, allowing Milloy to score on Flores' ball into center and Bates to score on Hee's single deep in the shortstop hole.

		NOTES
Bates (2x4, R) has scored a run in every game this season thus far. Milloy (1x3, R) has come around to score all three times she has recorded a hit so far this year. Hee's (3x3, R, RBI) three-hit day is a new career best.

A Sunday doubleheader wraps up the weekend for Washington tomorrow. The Huskies will play Liberty at 1:00 pm PT, followed by a game against #19 Baylor at 4:00 pm PT.
