Washington Set to Honor 2019 Senior Class on Sunday

Sunday marks the final home game of the regular season for Washington and the final regular season home game for the 2019 senior class. The Huskies will be honoring a total off 11 players prior to the match including those in their final years of eligibility along with those who are graduating from UW this year and have been a part of the program for four years.

The 2019 class has been a part of one of the most successful runs in program history, posting an overall record of 52-22-2 including a mark of 31-9-1 at Husky Soccer Stadium. The class will also be one of just five groups in program history to reach the NCAA Tournament in all four seasons at UW. The men in this class can also say that they were ranked No. 1 for at least three consecutive weeksโsomething which has never been done at UW!

| Andrew Conwell | #82 Redshirt Senior | Defender | Brentwood, Tennessee Conwell has been a solid contributor to the Washington program over the course of the last five seasons. He appeared in eight matches throughout his career, making a pair of starts, and has been a leader on the team while making a positive influence on everyone he has interacted with over his time in Seattle.ย Conwell will graduate UW with a degree in Biology, holding a 3.20 cumulative GPA. ย |
| Ryan DeGroot | #15 Redshirt Senior | Midfielder | Tacoma, Washington DeGroot's play in the midfield during his time at UW has proven valuable. He has provided incredible depth at that position, appearing in 33 matches over the last three years, making seven starts. He has two goals including an impressive finish against Oregon State in October while making his first start of the season. DeGroot has an impressive 3.39 GPA while pursuing a degree in history. ย |
| Joey Parish | #11 Redshirt Senior | Forward/Midfielder | Redmond, Washington Parish has been a jack-of-all-trades while at Washington, spending time playing numerous positions over the last four years. Thursday's match was his 60th at UW and he has made 18 starts over that time, scoring nine goals and adding five assists. This season, he has goals against UCLA and Gonzaga and has played 604 minutes overall. Last year, he opened the season with a pair of assists in the Huskies' 2-0 win over eventual NCAA Champ Maryland. ย |
| John Magnus | #13 Senior | Midfielder | Snohomish, Washington Magnus has jumped right into a new role as the starting central midfielder for the Huskies this season, helping the Huskies reach the No. 1 spot in the NCAA with leadership both on and off the field. Magnus has started all 14 matches he has appeared in, playing a full 90 in six. He has appeared in 60 matches in four seasons and amassed 3,452 minutes in his career, missing just one match over the last two years. Magnus earned First-Team Pac-12 All-Academic honors last year and currently boasts a 3.73 GPA while working towards a computer science degree and a minor in mathematics. ย |
| Daniel Ribas | #6 Senior | Midfielder | Guayaquil, Ecuador Ribas transferred into UW after spending his first two seasons at Creighton University. He has appeared in 13 matches with the Huskies in the midfield, playing 173 minutes. Ribas also has a solid 3.09 GPA at Washington. ย |
| Jaret Townsend | #7 Senior | Midfielder | Highlands Ranch, Colorado Townsend has been a part of nearly every match since coming to Washington in 2016. He has played in 68 matches in four years, making 36 starts and scoring six goals with six assists. This season has been a banner year for Townsend who has a career-high four goals including three in the last four matches. ย |
| Kasey French | #2 Redshirt Junior | Defender | Lacey, Washington French has been an anchor on defense over the last three seasons in Seattle, appearing in 41 matches while making 37 starts. He battled injuries the last two years, but has played nearly every minute this season, amassing 1,211 minutes and recording his first collegiate goal to beat Michigan earlier this year. He has been a key part of the Husky defense which has surrendered just six goals this season and helped Washington rank among the best defenses in the country. French has won numerous academic awards and currently holds an impressive 3.88 GPA while working toward a degree in physics and computer science. ย |
| Cole Grimsby | #19 Redshirt Junior | Defender | Woodinville, Washington Grimsby started out his time at Washington as a walk-on, but broke onto the scene last year, earning a starting spot and making 19 starts on the season. He finished third on the team with 1,626 minutes and helped the Husky defense allow just 20 goals on the season. This year, Grimsby has seed action in nine matches and made two starts and again helped the Husky defense post a 0.56 goals against average. ย |
| Bryce Logan | #99 Redshirt Junior | Goalkeeper | Everson, Washington Logan has had an incredible career in goal for the Huskies, recording a 12-3-0 overall record and posting a career goals against average of 0.80 in 17 matches over three years. He has posted a total of eight shutouts including four this year and posted an impressive 0.778 save percentage. Currently, Logan is tied for 15th in the NCAA in goals against average. He also boasts an impressive 3.51 GPA while working toward a Geography degree with a minor in Business Administration. ย |
| Jasper Malamud | #16 Redshirt Junior | Midfielder | Seattle, Washington Malamud is a local product who has been a solid role player for the Huskies during his time at UW. He has appeared in seven matches including four this season, making two starts. Malamud made his first collegiate start against San Francisco earlier this season and also earned the start at Michigan a week later. Malamud is also a solid student at UW, posting a 3.36 GPA in pursuit of a degree in European Studies and minor in Business Administration. ย |
| Ryan Sailor | #4 Redshirt Junior | Defender | Centennial, Colorado Sailor has been a key part of the Husky backline, coming off the bench to help the UW defense post an impressive goals against average this year. Sailor has seen action in seven matches, making three starts with the Huskies outscoring opponents 9-0 in those matches. Sailor picked up his first collegiate point in his first collegiate start, assisting on Ethan Bartlow's goal against San Francisco on Sept. 2. Sailor is majoring in Political Science and holds a 3.30 GPA. ย |
