November 07, 2019 | Gymnastics
SEATTLE - The Washington GymDawgs are set to host the annual Meet The GymDawgs event on Saturday, November 9. Doors open at 3:00 PM. This will be the first opportunity for fans to see the GymDawgs in action at the free event in Alaska Airlines Arena in the gymnastics training facility, near the team store.
The event will give fans a chance to see the three newcomers, Allie Smith, Isa Weiss, and Morgan Bowles, along with the rest of the gymnastics team. Festivities include face painting, photo booth pictures, free raffle prizes, Harry the Husky, and team autographs.
The 2020 Washington Gymnastics season is set to start on December 18 with the free Purple and Gold meet, also in Alaska Airlines Arena. Following the intrasquad meet, the GymDawgs will take on Michigan in Ann Arbor on January 10. Washington will host five meets throughout the season, beginning with Boise State on January 20.
This season, the GymDawgs return sophomores Brenna Brooks, Talia Brovedani, Amara Cunningham, Meaghan Ruttan, Hannah Vandenkolk, junior Geneva Thompson, seniors Madison Copiak, Michaela Nelson, Evanni Roberson, Maya Washington, and fifth year Kristyn Hoffa.
Washington will be looking to make it back to Nationals for the third time in four years, after doing so in 2017 and 2018.
