With his victory at last Friday's NCAA West Region Championships, Washington cross country senior Andrew Jordan was named the West Region Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, becoming the first Husky man to win that honor.
Husky men's soccer collected a slew of Pac-12 Conference awards yesterday as junior Blake Bodily was named Player of the Year, sophomore Ethan Bartlow earned Defensive Player of the Year, and head coach Jamie Clark was named Coach of the Year in addition to six Huskies on All-Pac-12 squads.
The Washington men's basketball team continues its stretch of seven straight games inside Alaska Airlines Arena tomorrow, Nov. 22, as it hosts Montana at 8 p.m.
Husky football's offensive line unit of Trey Adams, Luke Wattenberg, Nick Harris, Jaxson Kirkland, and Jared Hilbers has been tabbed a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, presented to the top offensive line unit in Division I FBS.
Twelve prospective student-athletes signed letters of intent to play baseball for the University of Washington last week during the NCAA Early Signing Period. The recruiting class is comprised of six student athletes from Washington, five from California and one from Oregon.
