Huskies Add Five In Recruiting Class

SEATTLE - The Washington Huskies announced their recruiting class coming to campus in 2021, adding five new athletes to the Husky family. Lilly Agan, Raigan Barrett, Jenn Cummings, Stormy Kotzelnick, and Sarah Willis will all join Washington as freshmen in 2021. All five of Washington's signees are ranked in the nation's top 50 recruits, with two in the top 20.
Agan joins the Huskies from Georgia, becoming the second Husky ever from Georgia along with her former high school teammate and current Husky, Kelley Lynch. A three-time First Team All-Region and All-County selection, Agan won back-to-back state championships with East Coweta High School. She has twice been named to the All-State First Team as well.
"This day couldn't come soon enough," said Agan about her commitment to Washington. "I have so many amazing people here already that I'm so close with already. I'm just really excited."
A local product, Barrett played her high school softball at Rogers in Puyallup, Washington. She has had an OPS over 1.500 in every one of her high school seasons and earned All-State honors in 2019. Barrett has also been a part of the USA Junior National Team trials.
Barrett was excited to get started at her hometown, school saying that "I always knew I wanted to go to UW. Everybody here is just so awesome, what they've done [at UW] is incredible."
Cummings is the Huskies' other Washington product, from Redmond. As a freshman, Cummings won a state championship. She was an All-State selection at Redmond High School. In her first two years of high school, Cummings had 50 extra-base hits.
"I love everyone on the coaching staff," said Cummings about her recruitment process. "It's hitting me that this is going to be my life and I'm super excited for it."
Kotzelnick will join the Huskies from Indiana. She has also been a part of the USA Junior National Team trials along with fellow freshman Barrett and has hit over .400 every year of her career at Carmel High School.
"Everybody talks about it but you just don't know until you come here, it really is a family," said Kotzelnick. "Everyone gets along so well and everyone is so open-minded."
A hitter and pitcher, Willis joins Washington as a high school All-American. This last season, she was named the Press Enterprise's Pitcher of the Year, helping to lead Norco High School to back-to-back Southern Section titles in California.
"It is so beautiful [at Washington]," said Willis. "The family culture and everyone being here for each other is really amazing."
