Washington Set For First Action Of Season At Fall Classic
October 08, 2019 | Softball
SEATTLE - The Washington Huskies will host the annual Husky Fall Classic this October 11-13. This will be the first action of the 2020 season for the Huskies, who are looking to make a fourth straight Women's College World Series and defend their Pac-12 championship from the 2019 season.
The Fall Classic will also feature Northwest University, Bellevue College, Western Washington University, and Central Washington University. The Huskies will play five games in all, starting with a 6:00 PM matchup with Northwest University on Friday, October 11.
Tickets will be available at the door only for all fans wanting to attend. Tickets are $10 each. There will be no live streams, stats, or other coverage available for the games.
This will be the first game action open to the public for the 2020 season. Fans can see all five new Huskies as well as the 15 returners in action over the weekend. Washington has three All-Americans back from last year's Pac-12 championship team in Sis Bates, Gabbie Plain, and Morganne Flores. Also back are All-Region honorees Taryn Atlee, SilentRain Espinoza, and Sami Reynolds.
That group of returners will be joined by freshmen Kelley Lynch, Brooke Nelson, Jadelyn Allchin, and Hannah Dardano, as well as sophomore transfer Baylee Klingler.
The Fall Classic will be the only chance for fans to see the Huskies in action before the 2020 season starts on February 7 at the Buzz Classic in Atlanta, Georgia. Washington will not have another home game until March 13 when they host Utah in the opening series of Pac-12 play.
Fans can make season ticket deposit now online or at the Husky Ticket Office.
