
Fall 2018 Academic Results

SEATTLE – The most recent fall quarter saw student-athletes at the University of Washington continue to excel in the classroom, raising their standard of academic excellence. Some highlights from Fall 2018 were:
- 21 of the 22 sport programs earned a 3.0 team GPA or better, tying the record set last year
- Four programs earned a 3.40 team GPA or higher (beach volleyball, women's cross country, gymnastics, and men's soccer)
- Gymnastics had the highest team GPA at 3.55
- Team GPA awards were earned by beach volleyball (3.45 GPA; women's large team), gymnastics (3.55 GPA; women's small team), men's soccer (3.44 GPA; men's large team), and men's tennis (3.26 GPA; men's small team)
- Baseball and women's basketball programs saw the biggest improvements in team GPA
- 407 student-athletes earned a 3.0 GPA or better (71% of student-athletes)
- 139 student-athletes made the Dean's List
- Seven student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA
