
Husky Athletics To Celebrate The Mighty Women Of Washington

SEATTLE – Leading up to National Girls & Women in Sports Day on Wednesday, Feb. 6, the University of Washington athletics department will celebrate the remarkable achievements of its women's sport programs, coaches, and student-athletes.
On the heels of Washington softball's run to the NCAA WCWS Championship Series and inspiring "Mighty Are The Women" campaign, Husky Athletics is expanding the reach to reflect the culture and strength of women's sports on Montlake. The campaign will highlight the successes of these incredible women in competition, in the classroom, and in life.
Fans can also show their support and pride in person by attending the Washington gymnastics meet on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 7:30 p.m., and the Husky women's basketball "NGWSD Day" game on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 2:00 p.m.
