
Huskies to Play at Nevada in Exhibition Game on Oct. 21

SEATTLE β The University of Washington men's basketball team will head to Reno to face Nevada in an exhibition game on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 3 p.m., the teams announced on Friday. All proceeds from the matchup will be given to the Northern California Wildfire Relief fund, specifically to the Carr Wildfires, through the California Community Foundation.

"We're excited about the opportunity to raise money for such a worthy cause," said head coach Mike Hopkins. "It will also give us a good feel on where we are at before the season starts as we'll get real game competition against a very talented Nevada team."

Washington's official season starts on Nov. 6 as it hosts Western Kentucky at 7:30 p.m. (ESPNU). The Dawgs will also face Seattle Pacific in an exhibition at Alaska Airlines Arena on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks.)
