
Eight GymDawgs Earn WCGA Scholastic All-American

BOWLING GREEN, OHIO - Eight different GymDawgs earned WCGA Scholastic All-American awards, recognizing their excellence in the classroom. Evanni Roberson, Hailey Burleson, Joslyn Goings, Kristyn Hoffa, Malory Rose, Michaela Nelson, Monica Riley, and Zoey Schaefer all were honored for their academic excellence.
Riley, Burleson, Nelson, Roberson, Goings, and Hoffa all also earned places on the Pac-12 All-Academic team this season. All eight of the WCGAΒ Scholastic All-Americans maintained weighted GPAsΒ over 3.5 while also excelling in the gym.
Burleson and Goings become All-Americans for their work in the gym and in the classroom now. Burleson earned All-American honors on all-around in 2017, while Goings earned All-American status for her work on beam this season. Goings is the first GymDawg in program history to earn All-American status for academic and athletic excellence in the same season.
The GymDawgs have now had over 50 academic All-Americans in their history. The eight honorees are the most since 2008, when Washington had nine academic All-Americans.
