
Five Huskies Earn Pocock CRCA All-America

Five members of Washington's women's rowing team have been named to the Pocock CRCA All-America Team.
Three Huskies – junior Marlee Blue (Seattle), senior Brooke Mooney (Peru, Vt.) and sophomore Tabea Schendekehl (Dortmund, Germany) – were named to the All-America first team while two others – senior coxswain Phoebe Marks-Nicholes (Seattle) and senior Chiara Ondoli (Angera, Italy) – earned a place on the second team.
All five of those women were a member of the UW varsity eight that won the Pac-12 Conference championship before earning the silver medal at the NCAA Championships.
Each year the coaches of the CRCA recognize the outstanding student athletes in each Division. Criteria for the award include:

- The student-athlete must meet all eligibility rules as defined by her institution.
- The student-athlete must have rowed at least 75% of the season's races in the varsity boat
- The student-athlete must be nominated by her institution
- The Head Coach of the student-athlete's institution must be a member in good standing of the CRCA.
