Huskies Hosting Purple And Gold Open Scrimmage

SEATTLE - Having completed their regular season with a record of 44-8, the #5 Washington Huskies will host the Purple and Gold Game this Saturday, May 12 at 3:00 pm. The intrasquad scrimmage, which will also feature Husky great Danielle Lawrie, is free to attend and open to the public.
The open scrimmage will also feature a home run derby immediately following the game. Fans in attendance will be able to get autographs and pictures with the team after the conclusion of the home run derby. There will also be a chance to enter a raffle, with the winner getting to face Lawrieย and show off their hitting skills.
This will be the last chance to see the Huskies before postseason play begins. The NCAA selection show will be Sunday, May 13 at 7:00 pm. Washington, which finished 44-8 overall and 15-8 in conference play, are ranked fifth in the RPI entering the season's final weekend, with the Huskies set for their Pac-12 bye week. This was just the fourth time in Husky history that Washington has finished the regular season with single-digit losses.
