SEATTLE - The Washington GymDawgs announced the addition of Morgan Bowles as a part of this year's signing class, with Bowles set to join the team before the 2020 season. Bowles is a native of Las Vegas and has won multiple state championships during her career.
"Morgan will be a huge asset to our bars and beam lineups," said Elise Ray-Statz. "She has elite-looking execution and lines, along with a repertoire of unique skills. She is incredibly passionate about UW and will be a strong addition to our culture of wonderful young women. We are so excited to welcome her into the GymDawg family."
Bowles has competed three times at the Region 1 Championships, after winning state championships on floor in 2013 and beam in 2014 and after finishing in the top five in the state in vault, bar, beam, and all-around in 2015. Bowles finished in Nevada's top-ten on bars and beam this year.
Bowles will join the GymDawgs before the 2020 season. The 2019 season begins this January 12 at Nebraska. Washington's annual Purple and Gold intrasquad meet will be on Monday, December 3 at 10:00 am.
