Huskies Complete Day Two of UCSB Classic

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. --- The Washington men's Husky team continued play at the UCSB Classic on Saturday.
In Singles Flight A, sophomore Jack Davis fell to Connor Hance 5-7, 2-6 in his first match of the day. In his second match, Davis beat Kento Perera of Stanford 7-5, 6-4. Freshman Ernesto Turegano Julian went up against Jack Barber of Stanford, losing 5-7, 6-3, 3-6. Turegano Julian fell to Joshua Charleston of Oregon 1-6, 2-6. Davis and Turegano Julian will match up against each other in the 13th place match on Sunday.
In Singles Flight B, senior Piers Foley took down Alex Dominguez-Soto from UCSB 6-2, 602. Foley then lost to Joseph Rotheram of UCSB 3-6, 3-6 in the semifinal match. Foley will take on Jackson Suh of California on Sunday in the third place match.
Also in Singles Flight B, sophomore Alexis Alvarez lost to Gary Vardanyan from Cal Poly. Alvarez also lost to Max Kaiser from Loyola Marymount 3-6, 1-6. Alvarez will face Ethan Young-Smith on Sunday in the 15th place match.
In Singles Flight C, freshman Adam Torocsik won his first match 6-4, 6-2 against Patrick Pech from Fresno State. Torocsik then lost to Arjith Jayaraman from UC Davis 4-6, 4-6. Torocsik will face Evan Felcher from Oregon in the 11th place match.
Senior Sebastian Hawken lost to Max Wild from UCLA 6-7 (6), 2-6 in Singles Flight C. Hawken then beat Charles Roberts from Oregon. Hawken will face Alex Scemenanco from UC Davis in the fifth place match.
Freshman Kasper Smith lost to Can Kaya from California in the Singles Flight C bracket, 1-6, 1-6. Smith then fell to Scemenanco 1-6, 3-6. Smith will go against Roberts in the seventh place match.
In Flight A Doubles, Davis and Foley fell to Soemarno and Roberts from Oregon 6-8. The Husky duo will face Kaya and Barretto in the third place match on Sunday.
In Flight B Doubles, Hawken and Turegano lost to Pech and Derkas from Fresno State 6-8. Hakwen and Turegano will face Brown and Juan from Loyoloa Marymount in the seventh place match.
