Washington Completes Successful Weekend at Portland-Seattle Battle

VANCOUVER, Wash. --- The Washington women's tennis team completed the final day of play at the Portland-Seattle Battle on Sunday. The Huskies went unbeaten in singles play on Sunday as well as going undefeated in doubles play. UW only dropped one singles match in the entire event and won all doubles matches.ย
Junior Natsuho Arakawa defeated Lukic from Portland 6-0, 6-1. Freshman Sedona Gallagher beat Milenkoski from Portland State 6-1, ret. (injury).
Junior Katarina Kopcalic took down Ramalle from Portland 6-0, 6-4. Junior Abbey Watanabe beat Okazaki from Portland 6-2, 6-2.
Senior Kenadi Hance took down Valk from Portland State 6-1, 6-2. Freshman Delara Zamani defeated Oberg from Portland 6-4, 6-0.
In doubles play Zamani and freshman Nika Zupancic defeated Luka/Dimitrova 6-4.
Arakawa and Gallagher took down Milenkoski/Rees 6-3.
Hance and Kopcalic made quick work of Ramalle/Okazaki winning 6-0.
The Huskies will next be in action at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships from Oct. 19-23 in Stanford, Calif.
