
Gal Hakak Named Pac-12 Men's Tennis Scholar Athlete Of The Year

SAN FRANCISCO – Washington men's tennis senior Gal Hakak was named the 2017 Pac-12 Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year, announced today by the conference.
Hailing from Ra'anana, Isreal, Hakak currently owns a 3.74 grade point average in economics here at Washington. Last season, he was named to the Pac-12 All-Academic first team after earning second team honors the previous year. Hakak has also been a key member of the tennis program on the court throughout his career, amassing 67 singles wins and 27 victories in doubles, racking up 20 singles wins in back-to-back seasons his sophomore and junior years.
The winner of the 101 Club's Scholar Athlete award last season, Hakak becomes the first Husky to earn Scholar Athlete of the Year honors since its inception during the 2008-09 academic year.
