October 16, 2017 | Women's Golf
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. β The University of Washington women's golf team got off to a great start at the annual Stanford Intercollegiate as it sits in third place at 7-over 291 following the first 18 holes at Poppy Hills Golf Course. The Dawgs were led by junior Wenyung Keh who is tied for second at 3-under 68.
Β
"We played pretty solid and I was pleased with what we did on the course today," said head coach Mary Lou Mulflur. "Wenyung's finish really pulled us through and it was great to see her play with confidence. This course is very hard and the greens are rough, so we need to be smarter with it tomorrow but overall I am happy with the way that our group hung in there playing against some tough competition.
