Two new Huskies added to roster for 2017 season.
The Washington football team welcomed two newcomers who have enrolled for the start of the winter academic quarter, which began today.
Jacob Kizer, a tight end from Salem, Ore., and Joel Whitford, a punter from Australia, began classes today.
Kizer originally signed with the UW last February, but delayed his enrollment until now. He'll be a true freshman for the 2017 season.
Whitford played one season of junior college football in 2015, but did not play in 2016 and comes to the UW with three remaining years of eligibility.
