
Softball Fall Slate Released

SEATTLE, WASH. – University of Washington head coach Heather Tarr announced the team's 2016 fall schedule Thursday. The Huskies will play eight games during their fall slate, including one double header and four home contests at Husky Softball Stadium.
The Dawgs will start their fall schedule on the road in Missoula, Mont., on Sept. 22 in a matchup against the Montana Grizzlies beginning at 4 p.m. PT.
On Oct. 8 and 9, the team will host their annual Fall Husky Classic, hosting Central Washington University, Western Washington University, Bellevue College and Wenatchee Valley College. The Huskies will face Central Washington and Bellevue College on Oct. 8, playing at 12 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., respectively. On Oct. 9 they will take the field at 12 p.m. and 2:15 p.m., facing Wenatchee Valley College and Western Washington.
In between Saturday's games, the team will host a meet and greet session in the Dempsey Indoor facility. Fans can join the team for pictures and autographs in the facility at 2:15 p.m.
Sunday's 2:15 p.m. game will be dedicated to breast cancer awareness. Fans are encouraged to wear pink and donations will be accepted in support of Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Tickets for the Husky Classic will only be available for purchase at the gate and will be seven dollars. This event is a volunteer staffed event, all proceeds from the tournament will go towards the Husky softball program.
The following weekend will feature the Dawgs in action against Portland State University at a neutral site in Chehalis, Wash. The teams will compete in a double header on Oct. 16 with the first game beginning at 1 p.m., and the second game at approximately 3 p.m.
