
Pereira Picks Up GolfWeek All-American Honorable Mention Honors

SEATTLE – University of Washington junior Corey Pereira earned some national recognition this week as he was named to the GolfWeek All-American Honorable Mention team, the organization announced. It is the first All-American honor for Pereira, who was also named to the All-Pac-12 First Team for the second-straight year.
The junior picked up two tournament victories this season winning both the Husky Invitational and the Gifford Collegiate. Pereira led the team with his 71.4 stroke average and carded a team-high 11 sub-70 rounds throughout the year.
He also posted five top 10 finishes while only finishing out of the top 25 twice in 11 tournaments. With his five top 10 efforts, the junior moved his career total to 15, which ranks sixth all-time at UW. Additionally, Pereira helped lead the Huskies to the NCAA Regionals for the 20th-straight year.
