A participant on the U14 Junior Federal Cup Canada team, Kopcalic has been consistently ranked the No. 1 player in her country where she has won Nationals three times in singles and twice in doubles.
Slavica will join the team next fall a veteran on the international circuit, having represented Croatia on the national team three years in a row. She was the winner of an ITF Grade Two event in Spain and was a finalist at a Grade Four event as well, and has won an ITF Grade Four event in doubles twice.
Youth was a highlight of the Huskies this past season, as three of the top four in singles victories were freshmen, with sophomore Miki Kobayashi leading the Huskies in doubles wins.
“Our program is headed in the right direction and these two will certainly help to take us to the next level,” said Stephenson.
