
Dawgs Travel To Ojai For Pac-12 Championships

OJAI, Calif. – The Washington women's tennis team will travel to the Ojai Valley Athletic Club this week to participate in the Pac-12 Championships beginning Thursday April 21st.
The tournament will consist of a 32-player singles draw, with three players from each top-ten school, and two from the 11th-place team based on regular season standings. The 16-team doubles draw will have one doubles team from each of the 11 schools, and five additional teams selected by the Draw Committee.
The first two rounds of both singles and doubles will be played at Ojai Valley Athletic Club with live scoring available at Pac-12.com. Semifinals and finals will be played at Libbey Park, with the singles finals scheduled for 10 a.m. and the doubles at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Both championship matches on Sunday will be broadcasted live by the Pac-12 Network.
The Huskies will attempt to carry their momentum into Ojai from the big win over Washington St. on Friday 4-1. UW currently holds three ITA rankings with Nour Abbes owning the loan singles rank at 106th, and Miki Kobayashi owning both doubles rankings; paired with Abbes at 34th, and Tami Grende at 43rd.
