
Corey Pereira 16th in Latest Arnold Palmer Cup Rankings

SEATTLE – University of Washington Men's Golf junior Corey Pereira currently sits 16th in the latest Arnold Palmer Cup Rankings, the organization announced on Thursday. The top six golfers from the final ranking on April 15 from both the United States and Europe shall be among the 10 individuals selected to compete in the Arnold Palmer Cup at Formby Golf Club, June 24-26.
Pereira has two tournament victories already under his belt this season, winning the Husky Invitational and tying for first at the Gifford Collegiate. Additionally he has finished in the top 15 in all but one of UW's seven tournaments this season. His finishes have led the team in five events this year and he's carded a team-best nine rounds under par including a low round of 5-under 66 at the Swoosh Invitational.
Using Golfstat's NCAA Player Rankings as a base, the Arnold Palmer Cup Ranking awards bonus points for wins and high finishes and a negative bonus for poor finishes. The rankings also contain and strength of schedule component.
