Are You #PurpleReign Ready?

SEATTLE – In advance of the University of Washington's first appearance in the College Football Playoffs, athletic department officials are encouraging fans and local businesses to activate their support of the team Friday, Dec. 30, the day prior to the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. Husky fans are encouraged to wear purple attire throughout the day, and businesses to demonstrate their support.

"The outreach of support we have received from the Husky fanbase and local community organizations and businesses this season is tremendous," Roy Shick, Senior Associate Director of Athletics, said. "The hope for this day is to consolidate all of the energy around this program and paint Seattle purple in support of such a remarkable team and moment."

A digital campaign will award prizes, including an autographed College Football Playoff game ball, to randomly-selected social media participants who post "I'm #PurpleReign Ready" prior to Dec. 30.

Commemorative posters will be available, while supplies last, at the Husky Ticket Office, Husky Authentic team store in Alaska Airlines Arena and other select retailers. Posters are scheduled to be available for pick up starting on Friday, December 23.
