
Douglas-Miron Drops Opening Match at ITA All-American Championships

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. -- Unviersity of Washington junior Elianne Douglas-Miron dropped her opening round match at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships on Tuesday, falling to Virginia's Stefanie Nauta, 7-5, 6-2.
Douglas-Miron is currently ranked No. 75 in the country while Nauta comes in at No. 32. The Huskies officially open their fall season at the ITA regional in Palo Alto, California on Oct. 10.
Douglas-Miron is coming off a strong sophomore campaign as she finished the season in singles play going 10-8 altogether; 5-9 in the top spot and 5-0 in the two spot. Additionally, she ranked as high as 97 during the season before opening the 2014-15 campaign ranked 75th.
