
Douglas-Miron Earns Preseason ITA Singles Ranking

Skillman, N.J. – University of Washington junior Elianne Douglas-Miron earned preseason recognition by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as she is ranked No. 75 in the Division I Women's Preseason Rankings, released this week.
Douglas-Miron, from Ottawa, Canada, boasted a strong sophomore campaign which saw her ranked as high as 97th throughout the season. She finished the year going 10-8 in singles play including a 5-0 mark in the two spot and a 5-9 record in number one singles. Douglas-Miron was also a member of the Dawgs' top doubles team where she and partner Riko Shimizu went 13-9, tying for the most wins by a Husky squad on the season.
With the preseason ranking, Douglas-Miron is a qualifying single for the 2014 Riveiera/ITA Women's All-American Championships which are set to begin on Saturday, Sept. 27. The national event will be hosted by UCLA and will start with prequalifying singles and doubles matches. Main draw action is slated for Oct. 2-5.
