WILSON ON SCOTT: “Leslie continues to add speed and movement to her pitches. She has added additional pitches this fall, and is breaking the game down better all the time.
AS A FRESHMAN (2002): Appeared in 32 games in her freshman season, starting seven times ... 7-5 overall with a 2.15 earned-run average ... gave up just 10 walks in 81.1 innings pitched ... did not given up more than one walk in a game this season ... led the Pac-10 in games pitched in relief with 25 and games finished with 18 ... made first career appearance in the team's season-opener with Long Beach State on February 1 ... pitching two innings, allowing no hits and striking out one against the 49ers ... notched first career start in UW's second game of the season against Cal State Northridge, throwing four innings en route to the 10-0 win ... picked up her second win in relief of starter Tia Bollinger in the 10-inning game with Florida Atlantic on February 8 ... gave up just one hit in four innings against the Owls, striking out four batters ... bounced back a day later by fanning a career-high seven batters in just four innings in the 7-0 blanking of Louisville, improving to 3-0 ... pitched two and a third innings of shutout ball in the first game with Florida ... saw her career-opening streak of 17 consecutive innings without and earned run come to an end with a home run in the win against Tennessee-Chattanooga on February 15 ... logged only complete game of the season in a win over Boston University at the NFCA Leadoff Classic ... limited the Terriers to just one hit in six innings, tying her career high in strikeouts with seven ... first career save in relief of Ashley Boek against Utah on March 14 ... second save in her next appearance with three innings of strong relief work in a victory versus Texas Tech ... tabbed for win in the first half of a doubleheader at Pacific, striking out seven in just 3.1 innings ... made good on her first career Pac-10 start on May 11, shutting down No. 2 Arizona by allowing just four hits, one run and striking out six in a career high 6.2 innings … made first career postseason appearance in three innings of relief against Michigan, allowing just one hit, one run, while striking out two.
HIGH SCHOOL: A four-time letterwinner in softball at Casady High School in Oklahoma City, Okla. ... four-time all-North Zone selection and three-time MVP ... named to the Southwest Preparatory All-Conference team each of her final three seasons, after garnering honorable mention honors as a freshman ... helped Casady to a pair of top-five finishes at the Oklahoma state tournament ... played summer ball for the Tulsa Eagles under coach Dave Simmons from 1999-2001 ... also played for the OKC Stealth in 2000 and the OKC Ultimate in 1997 and 1998 ... attended the ASA fold nationals in both 1999 and 2000.
