Born April 5, 1984 in Yakima ... parents are Linda and Jeff ... won the 2001 class 2A state cross-country championship, finishing the 5000m course in 15:43 ... also won the event in 2000 with a time of 16:25 ... is one of three reigning state cross-country champions joining the Huskies in 2002 ... took home the 3200m title at the 2002 state 2A track championships ... earned All-West Region honors with a top-25 finish at the 2001 Foot Locker Western Regional meet ... was the sixth overall finisher at the 2001 Nike Border Clash ... was the runner-up at 3200m at the 2001 state track championships ... placed ninth in the 1600m at the state meet as a junior ... last fall, won the Shoreline Invitational in Seattle, defeating fellow Husky freshman Stephen Mull.
