2002-03: Redshirted the cross-country season ... competed unattached at each of the first two meets of the season ... took 39th at the Emerald City Invitational and 75th at the Sundodger Invite ... posted 8000m cross country PR of 26:49 at the Sundodger ... ran just twice outdoors, both times unattached ... was 12th in the steeple at the Ken Foreman Invite.
High School and Personal: Born Aug. 11, 1983 ... parents are Ellen and Don ... nephew of Greg Gibson, Washington's first-ever four-minute miler ... has a younger sister, Alison ... was a two-time competitor at the Foot Locker Western Regional cross-country meet, making the trip to Mt. SAC in 1999 and 2001 ... earned four-career top-10 finishes at the state track championships ... as a senior, led Riverside Christian to a fifth-place finish at the state championships ... ran second at state in 2002 in the mile, clocking a time of 4:28 ... was third in the 800m, fifth in the mile at state as a junior ... took ninth in the mile at the state meet his freshman season ... notched a pair of third-place finishes, in the 800m and mile, at the 2002 Cougar Invitational ... was an eight-time All-Greater Columbia B League selection, four times each in track and cross-country.
