Born in Portland, Oregon ... parents are Susan Brim and Thomas McGuirk ... has two younger brothers, Parker and Hunter ... is the fifth generation of her family to attend UW ... aunt, Elizabeth Snodgrass competed in the Olympic Marathon Trials in 1988 ... was the Oregon 6A state champion in the 3000m as a senior, and placed 2nd in the 1500m ... runner-up at the state cross country meet as a senior, and was 5th her junior year ... first team All-State in cross country and track in her final season ... cross country team captured Oregon state title every year she was on the team ... Jesuit won state track title her senior year ... won the 2007 Adidas Classic cross country run ... won the Oregon School Activity Association Award for Senior Sportsmanship and Integrity in 2008 ... named the 2007 Nike Prefontaine Prep Long Distance Runner of the Year ... a three-time participant in the Nike Team Nationals ... interested in nursing and physical therapy.
