SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- Chris Williams is sixth among individuals and the Huskies are sixth as a team after two rounds of action on Saturday at Pasatiempo Golf Course for the 67th Annual Western Intercollegiate.

Williams fired rounds of 68 and 70 at the par-70, 6,815-yard course located in Santa Cruz, Calif. to finish a long Saturday of action as one of six golfers under par. Williams' total of 138 leaves him three shots off the lead.
UCLA's Pontus Widegren has the overall lead by one shot over his teammate Pedro Figueierdo and is two shots ahead of a trio of golfers.
UCLA also has a firm grasp on the team lead, in the play six, count five tournament. All 14 teams are over par, but the Bruins are the only team below double-digits over par at +2.
No. 1 ranked California is second at +11, followed by Stanford (+17), San Diego State (+18) and USC (+24).
Sixth-place Washington opened with a respectable 8-over 358 in the morning, but was relegated to a 20-over 370 in the blustery afternoon round.
After Williams, Cheng-Tsung Pan was the second best Husky on the leaderboard. He is tied for 15th at +2 after a pair of 71's.
Charlie Hughes is tied for 37th at 146 after shooting 74-72.
Gerrit Chambers are tied for 62nd after tallying two round totals of 151 (+11). Sanders shot 72-79, while Chambers shot 73-78.
Trevor Simsby is tied for 81st after rounds of 75 and 81.
The field will wrap up the tournament on Sunday. It marks the Huskies final foray on the course before the Pac-12 championships.
