CORVALLIS, Ore. - With a 194.775, the No. 22 GymDawgs placed second at the Comfort Suites Invitational hosted by Oregon State on Saturday night.
No. 10 Oregon State won the meet with a 197.275. The Huskies finished second, just ahead of Sacramento State (194.675).
Senior Megan Whitney (Mesa, Ariz.) was one of the highlights for the Dawgs, posting a new career-high of 9.900 on vault to place third overall.
Washington started on bars and posted a solid 49.000. Senior Lauren Rogers (Plains, Pa.) and junior Aliza Vaccher (Eugene, Ore.) tied for fifth on the event with scores of 9.850.
Rogers and freshman Allison Northey (Sammamish, Wash.) tied for third on beam (9.850).
Rogers was also the top Husky scorer on floor, tying for third with a 9.850 and in the all-around, also placing third with a 38.750.
Fans can watch the meet on the Pac-12 Networks on Sunday at 6 p.m.
Next Friday the Huskies host BYU and Seattle Pacific at 7 p.m. on senior night.
