STOCKTON, Calif. - UW game out early against the Hornets scoring six runs in the first inning. The Huskies would get two more in the second and one in the fourth for the 9-0 run-rule victory in five innings.

UW had 10 hits in the game, nine RBI and allowed just two Sacramento State hits. Sophomore Kaitlin Inglesby (Portland, Ore.) improved to 9-0 in the circle with the complete game shutout. It was her seventh complete game of the year and third shutout. She allowed just two hits, no walks and struck out four.

Caitlin Brooks was the starting pitcher for the Hornets. She allowed six runs on four hits in the first inning to fall to 1-4 on the season. Shelby Voelz pitched the remaining 3.0 innings, allowing three runs on six hits.

Inglesby, sophomore Hooch Fagaly (Chino, Calif.) and freshman Kylee Lahners (Laguna Hills, Calif.) had two RBI each. Senior Niki Williams (Mission Viejo, Calif.) had two hits along with Inglesby and Lahners. Seven of the Husky starters had hits in the game.

The UW leadoff hitter for the third-straight game, sophomore Victoria Hayward (Mountain View, Calif.), led off the bottom of the first for the Huskies with a single to left field. A single by Inglesby drove her in for the 1-0 lead. After a Williams walk, a single by senior Taylor Smith (Olympia, Wash.) made it 2-0.

Freshman Courtney Gano (West Covina, Calif.) and Fagaly each hit sacrifice flies to drive in runs. A two-run home run by Lahners, her team-high fourth of the year, drove in the fifth and sixth runs of the inning.

In the second, Hayward singled and scored on an error by the Hornets. Inglesby would also eventually score on an error and her run would be unearned.

The final run for UW in the fourth was scored by Williams on a sacrifice fly by Fagaly after Williams led off the inning with a double.

Kelli Frye had both hits for the Hornets against Inglesby.
