Pan Among Biggest Movers And Shakers At U.S. Collegiate

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- The Washington men's golf team shot 9-over 287 for a second-straight day at the U.S. Collegiate Championship and is tied for seventh heading into the final round at The Golf Club of Georgia.
The third-ranked Huskies are 14 shots behind UCLA, who holds a two-shot advantage over host Georgia Tech. USC and Oklahoma State are tied for third at +12. Virginia is fifth (+13) and Clemson is sixth (+14).
Washington and Wake Forest are tied at +18.
Cheng-Tsung Pan is the leader among Huskies and is tied for fifth at 1-under 143. He equaled the low-round of the day with a 69 and moved up 17 spots on the leaderboard.
Pan started the day with an eagle-3 on the par-5 opening hole. He bogeyed the next hole, but eventually got to 4-under with birdies on No. 9, 11 and 12. He had a bogey on No. 17 and eventually ended 3 under.
Pan is among eight golfers in the 79-man field under par for the tournament. The sophomore All-American is trying to record his fourth top-five finish in four events this season.

Trevor Simsby is second among Huskies at 2 over. He shot 74 on Saturday and is tied for 15th.
Senior Charlie Hughes shot 76 for a second-straight day and is tied for 51st at 152.
Chris Williams, the world's current No. 1 ranked player, shot 78 and is tied for 56th at 9-over 153. The senior All-American is playing despite battling an illness.
Tyler Salsbury shot a non-counting 81 and is 79th at 168.
The Huskies start teeing off at 10:40 a.m. ET on Saturday and are paired with Duke and Auburn.
