
Thomas Named Pac-12 Golfer Of The Month

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Washington freshman Charlotte Thomas of was named the Pac-12 Womenʼs Golfer of the Month for September, Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.
Thomas, from Singapore, Singapore, became the first Husky womenʼs golfer to win in her collegiate debut, finishing first in the season-opening Oregon State Invitational. Thomas shot 5-under 211 in the 54-hole tournament at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Ore., to lead the Huskies to a 25-shot win over the rest of the field. A total of four Huskies notched top-10 finishes in the 90-player field.
She entered the final round in second place but was able to shoot 3-under 69 in the final round to overtake teammate SooBin Kim and earn the win.
The team victory was just the Huskiesʼ second win in the last seven years.
The Huskies moved to No. 1 in the Golfweek.com rankings and No. 2 in the Golfstat.com rankings.
